Rain and MORE rain
Ivan and chums are currently going through the Southeast like knife through melted butter. I guess nature is still something fearsome for man to be weary of. Best to other states. It's just rain, rain, and more rain in Atlanta thus far.
Let see, what have I been up to. School...test...so much stuff to do and not enough time to care! I attended Dragon Con (Southeast's premier SciFi and Fantasy convention) earlier this month. Had a GREAT time but then I caught a cold that lasted for all of last week and had to do makeup stuff all of this week. But yeah, Dragon Con was cool. One doesn't know the meaning of fan until one has seen normal looking people (well, kinda :) dressed up as the Flash, Dr.Octapus, Edward Scissorhand, Stormtroopers, Master Chief, etc... Yeah, there were alot of stormtroopers!!! Enough for those people to fight a small battle.
I ended up with a couple of things, some books, an autograph of David Caradine, and signed comic from Mark Schultz. It's a weird feeling to realize that you're actually in the prescence of someone who's work you adored so much...I mean, before then, all the authors and artists are just like disembodied voices you know. One never really makes the connection between creator and the actual medium.
That's all, right now. Stay Dry!

Dry? DRY!?! It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to travel four miles today! Never mind the fact that walking to my car caused me to become soaked below mid thigh. This stupid hurricane has caused me far too much inconvenience. Bleh.

PS To continue in my vein of bitching, you should post more stuff to your blog!
PPS DragonCon really was cool. Everyone should go to something like that at least once in their life... though it was strangely reminiscent of the scientific conferences I've been to. You know, a large group of socially inept people invading a hotel, wearing clothes they aren't quite comfortable in but feel they should wear anyway, eating food at all hours of the day and packing themselves into tiny conference rooms to discuss minutae of a subject that only they care about.
